General Shipping Information

At Red Sofa Company we want you to feel absolutely comfortable with every aspect of your online shopping experience. After all, we shop online too! We know that how and when an order will ship is of extremely high importance to you. That is why Red Sofa Company partners with many of the best delivery companies nationwide. We carefully pair each product on our site with an appropriate delivery company to ensure the best experience for our customers.

Once your order ships, we will notify you via email of this status update, along with any available shipment tracking information. While we provide our customers with an estimated time in which an order will ship and be delivered, at the time an order is placed, please keep in mind that these dates – while usually quite accurate – are estimates, not actual delivery dates.

RedSofaCompany.com offers you Top Quality Furniture products through our Website. We sell only quality furniture and bedding products. Our prices are low because products are delivered factory direct to us or delivered right to our customers. No Fancy showroom equals Low Overhead which results in Very Low Prices. All furniture and bedding products are new, sealed in factory packaging. Some pieces may require limited assembly.

For local Pickup order and/or Local Delivery order, all furniture and bedding purchases through RedSofaCompany.com will be shipped to our Warehouse in Pocatello, Idaho. We offer National Curbside Residential Delivery Services that do cost extra and will be notated at time of check out. And special services such as a lift gate or in-home delivery will be another extra service that is available upon request, but will cost extra. Contact us for more information and a quote.

Shipping time ranges from 5-10 business days from the day the product is ordered depending on stock availability. Simmons upholstery orders may take up to 4-8 weeks since furniture is made in the USA and built on demand.  If the item is out of stock, we will contact you with a estimated time of arrival and you can decide if you would still like to proceed with the order. We will refund your transaction if the order is more than  Also consider a shipping delay during the holidays or due to weather conditions. Please contact us to check stock and for an actual estimated delivery date.

Delivery fees will depend on the distance between the product final destination and our warehouse. To request a shipping quote, please include your complete address on the price inquiry form.

 

:: Inspecting Your Delivery for Damage

When you sign for delivery, if you notice any holes, tears, or even wrinkles in the outer packaging, please write “Product Damaged” clearly on the form the delivery agent asks you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, resolving the issue may be done so quickly and simply.

:: How will my order ship?

We will ship your order using the fastest, safest, and most reliable method possible. Therefore, we have established strong relationships with some of the best delivery companies nationwide. When your order ships, we will notify you via email. Included in your email will be a tracking number for your shipment. We encourage you to track your package online or on the phone with the carrier. Most companies can provide an estimated delivery date. Be sure to contact us if anything seems unusual with the progress of the shipment.  Please note we cannot ship to P.O. Boxes or Military APOs.

We offer four methods of shipment available: Local Delivery (delivered by Red Sofa Company), Small Parcel, Residential Self Service Truck Delivery, and White Glove.

Small Parcel – We will ship smaller, lighter items via FEDEX or USPS. Depending on how close you are to the shipping warehouse, your item will arrive between 4 and 10 business days (1 to 10 business days for USPS) after it leaves the warehouse.

We do not require an adult signature for deliveries, but please note that the decision to leave your package without a signature is at the discretion of the delivery person. If you want an item left at your doorstep, the best thing to do is leave a note on your door asking the driver to leave your package with “No Signature Required.” Be sure to include your name and tracking number on the note.

Residential Self Service Truck Delivery – A freight carrier delivers this item. We call this delivery ‘Self Service’ because you’ll need to move the package into your residence yourself. Keep in mind that products that ship this method are either too large or heavy to ship with a small parcel carrier like FedEx or our LTL Freight Carriers, so you may require the assistance of a friend or family member at delivery.  All of our Self Service Delivery providers do require a 2 to 4 hour window for delivery, which will be communicated either by phone or email. Most truck delivery companies offer appointment windows between 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday. No orders are delivered on the weekends.

Liftgate Services – For $50, our delivery service partners will use a machine called a liftgate to bring the items to the ground for you instead of helping take the items off the truck. If the items are over-sized, we recommend a lift gate for delivery. This $50 fee charged per order, per shipment.

Delivery Notes

  • Once your order arrives in the area, a representative from the shipping company will call you to arrange a 2- to 4-hour window for delivery.
  • Sometimes freight carriers offer their own additional services. Once we send you your tracking info, you can call the carrier directly to get more info.
  • Damage Inspection: Please make sure that you inspect the packages at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason you are concerned with its packaging or delivery, please write, “Product Damaged” clearly on the sheet the delivery agent asks you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem

White Glove Freight – Many large or fragile items will be delivered by a white glove freight carrier to ensure the safest and most convenient delivery. White glove works similarly to truck freight, but a delivery team of at least two people brings your items into your home for you. Please note:

  • Once your order arrives in your area, a representative from the white glove carrier will call you to arrange a 4 hour window for delivery.
  • Damage Inspection: Please make sure that you inspect the packages at the time of delivery. If the box has any damage, or if there is any reason you are concerned with its packaging or delivery, please write, “Product Damaged” clearly on the sheet the delivery agent asks you to sign. This simply insures that if there is any damage, it will be easy to take care of the problem.

White Glove Delivery – This service is offered, but not currently on our pricing through the website. Contact us for a White Service quote.

Front Door Delivery

  • Delivery to: Inside the threshold of your residence. Your product will be delivered to your front entrance, The product will not be carried up stairs inside the home. If you live in an apartment above the first floor of a building, we recommend upgrading to Room of Choice or Room of Choice with Packaging Removal.
  • Assembly Service: None
  • Packaging: The product will be left in the original packaging.

Inside Delivery

  • Delivery to: Inside your residence to the room you choose. This includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.
  • Assembly: None
  • Packaging: The product will be left in the original packaging.

Inside Delivery with Packaging Removal

  • Delivery to: Inside your residence to the room you choose. This includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.
  • Assembly Service: None
  • Packaging: The shipper will remove and dispose of all packaging.

Inside Delivery with Assembly Service

  • Delivery to: Inside your residence to the room you choose. This includes carrying the product up two flights of stairs from the building threshold (4-15 steps = 1 flight). If you need the product moved up additional flights, please contact us*.
  • Assembly Service: The shipper will unpack the product and provide light setup that requires basic tools (i.e. pieces will be screwed or bolted together, set pieces next to each other, or on top of each other).
  • Packaging: The shipper will remove and dispose of all packaging.

*In all cases the shipper will not hook up any electrical or component wires. Having items carried up more than 25 steps and longer assembly periods are available as additional services which would require additional charges. Please contact us if you feel you need these services.

:: When will I receive my order?

Each lead time varies based on many different brands and manufacturers. Some warehouses stock items that can be shipped within 24-48 hours. Others items require a longer time (e.g. 2-4 weeks).  Our Simmons Upholstery line is made in the USA and produced on demand, so allow 5-8 week for these items, we will contact you with an estimated time of arrival after your make your purchase. If items have been discontinued or are out of stock, we will contact you and give you an estimated time of arrival for out of stock items, we will refund you if the items have been discontinued or if the item out of stock is longer then 30 days.

For Truck Freight shipments, delivery usually takes between 5 and 10 business days from when your order ships. For residential deliveries, you will be contacted for an appointment as soon as your order arrives at the local terminal. For commercial deliveries, no appointment will be made. If you need to make one, please contact us.

For White Glove shipments, delivery usually takes between 2-4 weeks from the time the items leave the warehouse. Your order will travel through a nationwide network of professional moving companies who will handle your item(s) with the utmost care. You will be contacted for a delivery appointment when your order reaches the delivery agent. Although the items are handled carefully throughout transit, we require that our orders undergo a thorough inspection at the delivery agent before delivery. We take extra steps to make sure your item is delivered in perfect condition.

:: Free Shipping?

 Red Sofa Company offers free shipping on nearly all of our products. We do this to keep your shopping experience easy to understand. The price you see is the price you will pay. Please be aware that many other websites will not disclose your total order cost until much later in the checkout process. We at Red Sofa Company want you to know exactly what you will be buying and how much you will be paying from the moment you begin shopping with us.

:: International Shipping?

At this time,  Red Sofa Company can ship only to addresses in the contiguous 48 United States (we do not ship to Alaska or Hawaii).

:: Cancellation Policy

We ship our orders fast, usually in fewer than 2 days! Should you wish to cancel your order please let us know as quickly as possible and we will make every effort to pluck it from the processing queue. Please note: while we will make every attempt to cancel your order, we can not guarantee your order can be cancelled. Because we ship orders so quickly, once processed for shipping, orders cannot be cancelled. Unfortunately, we are unable to cancel any items or orders that have already shipped out of our fulfillment centers.
